WHERE IS TINHAT MOUNTAIN?

I’m not kidding when I say that photographing a Tin Hat Mountain Elopement has been an ultimate dream of mine. I have lived here in Powell River, BC for most of my life. I grew up here and every time I hike to the top of this mountain, I am in complete awe. It was on my bucket list to photograph a couple at the very top for a couple of years now, and this past summer we made it happen. I can’t thank Sid + Alysha enough for adventuring up there with me for the most epic golden hour I think I have ever seen. Tin Hat Mountain is apart of the Sunshine Coast Trail in Powell River, British Columbia.

MEET SID + ALYSHA

These two lovebirds just happen to be my relatives. Alysha + I are first cousins. I was there when she picked her dress, it was such a memorable moment! Sid fits right in with our family + I can’t express enough how much these two are meant for each other.

SHOULD I ELOPE ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN?

Yes. 100000%. Yes.

I am totally game for the big weddings too, don’t get me wrong. If you want to go all out and catch a helicopter ride to your favourite mountain top to seal the deal, or heck even get your bridal portraits done up there - COUNT ME IN! This is your wedding day and you should go all out! You’re marrying the love of your life + will have these photos and memories forever. We live in such a beautiful part of the world + I believe it needs to be photographed more often!
